The 2nd Phnom Penh Design Festival took place from October 31 to November 2, 2025. This three-day event, building on the success of the 2024 inaugural festival, celebrated creativity, innovation, and collaboration within Cambodia’s design sector.
Organized by the Phnom Penh University of the Arts (PPUA) in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, the 2025 festival embraced the theme “Together.” This theme underscored the importance of community and the local and global connections that foster meaningful creative work.
“The arts help us understand our shared identity, allowing us to honor our history while imagining what lies ahead. This festival represents a commitment to raising standards in design education and expanding opportunities for talent to flourish. I am proud to see so many students, educators, and professionals working together to build a stronger creative economy for Cambodia.” said Mrs. Chan Hae Lee, President, Phnom Penh University of the Arts.

The program featured the 8th International Art Competition and a series of curated events, including a fashion show challenging conventions, a “Living Canvas” performance integrating Korean and Khmer arts, and a final concert that harmonized diverse musical genres to celebrate shared artistic joy and was dedicated to promoting arts education.
