The start of fall marks the start of different mood and a tendency toward dark colors that slightly more dramatic and can be worn perfectly with any of the different clothing options we have for this season. Bright red has gone out the door and deep reds along with burgundy have been ushered in by the like of Rebecca Minkoff, Kenneth Cole and Castello Tagliapietra.
This is by no means a new trend, the color has been around for some time now and is usually a woman’s go-to color when she wants to feel elegant, sophisticated and timeless.
When Opting for a red color, first make sure that the length of your nails is slightly passed your fingertips and filed into an oval shape in order to make your fingers seem elongated and prevent them from appearing too gothic. Second, if your skin is quite pale, take the color of your veins into account. If your skin is translucent and your veins are very green, then choose a nail varnish that has a tint of orange in it.
On the other hand, if your skin is quite dark and it is hard to see your veins, we recommend that you apply burgundy tones instead of just red. It might sound bizarre, but following these two rules will help you maintain your feminine side in the face of these dark, brooding colors.
