Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, First Lady of Cambodia, has been awarded the “Smile Asia Philanthropic Visionary Award” in recognition of her outstanding contributions to healthcare promotion, particularly in the areas of public health, population welfare, and child welfare.
The award was presented by H.E. Ms. Gan Siow Huang, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, during the Smile Asia Charity Gala 2025 held at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on 14 August.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Pich Chanmony emphasized that the honor was not solely her own, but a tribute to the Cambodian people who have supported her vision of building a brighter and more compassionate world. She dedicated the award to her family, friends, and colleagues who have encouraged her involvement in humanitarian, social, and educational initiatives.
“While poverty has declined, vulnerability still remains,” she noted. “The actions we take, the hands we hold, and the voices we raise are not about me—they are about the goals we share and the humanity we cherish, with the belief that no one is more valuable than another.”

Acknowledging the challenges of humanitarian work, she described the journey as one of both joy and hardship, commitment and perseverance. “Yet in every shared story, every effort extended, and every obstacle overcome, there is a spark,” she said.
Dr. Pich Chanmony expressed her deep gratitude to Smile Asia for recognizing the importance of compassion, dignity, and service. She also extended appreciation to Smile Asia Cambodia, its volunteers, medical professionals, and generous partners whose dedication continues to transform lives and strengthen communities across Cambodia.
