The hipster trends of wearing your grandma’s old sweaters have taken over the runways with reinterpreted 40s style dresses and corresponding floral prints. Nearly every decade was represented; from the 60s style of Dolce & Gabbana to the 70s colors in Valentino we saw history repeating itself. As much as we like to push trends forward, there are some that are just too good to be left in the past, so we look forward to the head nods toward the previous greats in fashion.

This trend can easily look dated if you accessorize with all vintage pieces, so try to make sure you have a modern touch when styling. With floral mini dresses, wear the latest in flats or gladiator sandals to bring the look into this century. Choose accessories from different looks—like wearing delicate jewelry instead of heavy necklaces with a 70s inspired dress. When working with separates, make the vintage fabric the focus by keeping the other pieces neutral, like taking a 40s style blouse and pairing it with skinny jeans and black
ankle boots.
